2. The video is talking about the options drop out students have. Also it talking about all the resources that they have.And it talks about motivation to keep them in school. And the positive outcomes from doing that.
ReplyDelete3. This means that out of all the drop outs only some know where to got help. It also means that most drop outs choose not to get the help that is offered. And that there are programs that are willing to help people that really need it. And that if you need help then ask for it.
4. The reason it matters is because a lot of drop outs just waist there lives in different ways. An example of that would be not choosing to stay in school.Another example is choosing to do other things then getting your education.Also dropping out and not choosing to get help and just ruining your life.
The reason it is important is because im in high school and this is when kids decide to drop out. Also because im better informed about what to do if i drop out. 3. You can not be having someone take care of you your whole life. When you are working for something give yourself a why to do something and then you will reach your goal of doing something. Don't be like how your past family has been, try and be something better. You can actually be something if you actually try.
4. It matters because you really don't know who you are affecting by slacking off. You don't want you 50 year old mom still working to provide for you. That will be your why. Give yourself a why and then you will see how you can nourish form that and become something successful. You have never failed fully, it is never to late to succeed. This applies to me because I need to start realizing my mo won't take care of me forever. I want to be able to provide for my mom. 4.) Finishing what you start is a concept that can be applied to your life. It's good to finish what you start so that you can go on to the next level. For example, if you put off doing your homework you won't be able to pass the test on the given assignment. Not passing that test will affect how you do in the future(grades). It'll only get harder and harder if you don't understand the past concepts. Then, it'll be harder to succeed and go onto the next level.
Another concept that was discussed in the video is completing something for the sake of someone else. Your goals may not include passing all classes or graduating, but think about the people who love you. There are people in your life that want you to succeed. I guess what he was trying to say in the video is that even though he was a high school drop out he still managed to get what he needed to get so that he could get through college for himself and for his family so that he could be known as the kid that knew he could do it cause no one in those days knew that he could do it until they stared to believe in him and others that are thinking of dropping out of high school.

ReplyDelete2 . In my own words I think this means that you always need to put effort even if you have a lot left to accomplish. For example I want to succeed and accomplish a certain task but in order to do that I need to do the work for it . At times there will be a lot of work that has to be done.
3. Based upon my understanding this means that there will be work that has to be done in order to succeed and that work may be a lot. Sometimes the person may even give up because the work is too much and they think its better to just give up. Therefore people give up on school because at times there is to much work and can't take it.
4. This matters because when the time comes there will be a lot of work that needs to be done. Some people will say I give up and not do the work they may also say that its to much work. Overall in order to succeed you need to do everything possible to accomplish it.

3. Eric Thomas was once a dropout and a homeless man. everything was lost and he couldn't find his way. He finally decided to pick himself up and dust himself off. He joined a program which helped him. It gave him a second chance. He was redeemed from his old ways. He got up to do bigger things. Once he went to college, in his last year, he was on the verge of quitting. Instead he was restored and got his degree. Next, he came back to the organization that helped him and gave them donations and speeches as an example. He returned from where he came from.
You can apply this to your life by simply not giving up. There is never a time where you can be late. You just need to ask for help. You need to put your energy where you really need it. Put your energy somewhere important. You can motivate yourself by
